Białowieża Forest is often associated with shade and refreshing coolness, but today’s measurements show that summer heat is making itself felt here too. Temperatures recorded at the ForBioSensing meteorological stations are exceeding 32°C, while humidity remains low - conditions that can contribute to the drying out of the forest floor.

The data come from a network of automated weather stations monitoring conditions in the heart of one of Europe’s most valuable forests.
