Our specialists have recently recorded very low air temperatures in the Białowieża Forest. The coldest temperatures were in the northeastern and eastern reaches of the forest. Our weather stations recorded temperatures on February 2nd of this year:

-27.8°C - 2 meters above ground at the Gruszki station
-29.0°C - 2 meters above ground at the Jagiellońskie station

These low temperatures were recorded thanks to the operation of three automatic weather stations located throughout the Białowieża Forest. The lowest temperature was recorded by the weather station located in the village of Gruszki.

Our weather stations take automatic measurements every 10 minutes, recording air temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed, and atmospheric pressure, among other things.
