A NOMINATION TO POLISH AWARD OF INTELLIGENT DEVELOPMENT 2016

The Forest Research Institute has been nominated to the “Polish Award of Intelligent Development 2016” in the category „Scientific Units”. The nomination was awarded for running two projects:

ForBioSensing LIFE+ PL “Comprehensive monitoring of stand dynamics in Białowieża Forest supported with remote sensing techniques”, co-funded by the European Commission under European Union financial instrument LIFE+ and by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management

and

REMBIOFORRemote sensing based assessment of woody biomass and carbon storage in forests”, co-funded by the National Centre for Research and Development within the program „Natural environment, agriculture and forestry” BIOSTRATEG

The “Polish Award of Intelligent Development” is a nationwide award appreciating the most innovative projects in the framework of EU and national programmes realised by Polish research institutions, institutions and companies involved in research and development activities, local governments, their subordinate companies and private and public companies, which through its innovative solutions and investments contribute to the sustainable development of Poland.

 

The main media partner of the event is “Puls Biznesu”.

The awards ceremony will take place on 20-21 October 2016 in Rzeszow during the “Intelligent Development Forum”, a prestigious nationwide event aimed at promoting and supporting European cooperation. For more info visit:
