Scientific publication using ForBioSensing data in the journal Forest Ecology and Management

In today's news, we present to you a scientific publication, which was created as a result of using data obtained under the ForBioSensing project. Its authors: Agnieszka Kamińska, Maciej Lisiewicz, Bartłomiej Kraszewski, Krzysztof Stereńczak analyzed the dynamics and spatial extent of the bark beetle gradation in the Białowieża Forest in 2015-2019 with the use of multi-time remote sensing data. The role of habitat and stand factors in the intensity of spruce mortality caused by the spruce bark beetle was assessed. The spatially extensive gradation resulted in an over six-fold increase in the number of infected trees in 2019 compared to 2015.
