Białowieża Forest, admiring biodiversity: Białowieża undergrowth after heavy rains

After a few days of heavy rains, nature has already woken up for good. In today's news, we present you a short photo report, made in the forest by our field worker, which confirms the bloom of the spring undergrowth.

🌸 Wood violet (Viola reichenbachiana) - blooms from April to June. Odorless flowers pollinate bees, attracted by the colorful flowers and the nectar that collects in the spur.

🌼 Primula (Primula veris L.) - its stamens and pistil mature simultaneously, flowers are pollinated by butterflies.

🌺 Hare oxalis (Oxalis acetosella L.) - oxalic leaves warm up at night and in bad weather. This phenomenon is called "plant sleep"
and contributes to the regulation of water evaporation by the plant.

The forest undergrowth blooms with lush greenery and colorful flowers. We encourage you to admire this wonderful phenomenon.
