ForBioSensing: Night sky in the Białowieża Forest

From time immemorial, people have stared at the sky at night. When the weather is fine and the sky is clear, thousands of stars can be seen in the night sky. It is best to observe them outside built-up areas, in spaces with little light pollution (eg excessive night lighting caused by its artificial sources).

One of such places is the Białowieża Forest. In the previous news, we encouraged you to look at the sky. Today - we do it again, in the multitude of everyday matters, it is sometimes worth stopping above the treetops and seeing the beauty of the night sky. What if we live in a place that is not suitable for observation? Nothing is lost. This problem was faced by a ForBioSensing field worker who photographed the forest at night.

In the old days, photography of the night sky was mainly done by professionals related to astronomy (analog photography). Having to wait for the photos to be developed from the film effectively discouraged people from being exposed to the frost at night. Now, thanks to the possibilities of digital photography - the night sky is open to each of you. You only need to take your equipment, dress warmly and leave the house. We encourage you - it's worth trying!
