We invite you to the webinar "Remote Sensing Approaches for Temperate Forest Monitoring: Implications for Management"

We cordially invite you to the webinar "Remote Sensing Approaches for Temperate Forest Monitoring: Implications for Management", which will be held on November 4 at 09:00. During the 90-minute meeting you will be able to learn how remote sensing is used in research on forest ecosystems, and learn about new and unique possibilities of its use in forest management. By participating in the webinar, you will also learn:

  • How are hyperspectral and airborne laser scanning data used in the Białowieża Forest?
  • What opportunities and challenges are associated with the use of remote sensing data?
  • How are forest inventories performed using remote sensing?
  • How to use remote sensing data in the daily work of a forester?

We encourage students, scientists, foresters, as well as people dealing with the subject of the meeting to participate in the virtual meeting. Our experts: Krzysztof Stereńczak, Aneta Modzelewska (Department of Geomatics IBL), Hooman Latifi (KNTU (Iran) and University of Würzburg (Germany)) and Hormoz Sohrabi (Tarbiat Modares University, Iran), will tell in detail about the technological and natural benefits, both used as well as announced solutions. During the webinar, you will be able to ask questions in real time and, if necessary, contact you at a later date.
