ForBioSensing: our activities and a temporary ban on entering the forest

In connection with the recommendation of the Government Crisis Management Team, from April 3 to April 11 this year. inclusive, State Forests introduced a temporary ban on access to the forest. National parks are also closed.

As part of our official duties in the Polish part of the Białowieża Forest, we can carry out field project activities. During the ForBioSensing project, trees on 685 monitoring plots are inventoried. Currently, field employees are analyzing and assessing the database based on their work and making repeated measurements on surfaces where the result requires re-checking.

This is a difficult situation for all of us. However, we believe that only responsible and solidary actions are able to lead to a return to normal functioning. All this in order to fully return to the forest as soon as possible - in health and a sense of security.
