ForBioSensing at a conference presenting the results of the REMBIOFOR project - "Remote sensing of wood biomass and carbon resources in forests"

On January 22, 2019 in the Conference and Exhibition Center IBL in Sękocin Stary, a conference was held presenting the results of the REMBIOFOR project - "Remote sensing of wood biomass and carbon resources in forests", co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development under the "Environment, agriculture and forestry "BIOSTRATEG.

The participants of the event were greeted by the Director of the Forest Research Institute, prof. dr hab. Jacek Hilszczański. During the Conference, many respected specialists in the field of forestry gave their speeches: dr hab. Krzysztof Stereńczak (Rembiofor project manager), presented the scope, methodological assumptions, research material and technologies used during the project implementation. One of the important issues has become the need to use remote sensing data as a support for traditional methods of tree stand inventory. The ForBioSensing project also uses remote sensing data, which proves that the possibilities and scope of the methods of using remote sensing in the analysis of the natural environment is extremely wide.

At the invitation of the Organizers, we have issued a promotional stand for the LIFE + ForBioSensing project. With him we informed about the current tasks of the team we performed, we presented one of the measuring equipment - a dendrometer and distributed promotional gadgets. Our design calendars for 2019 enjoyed great interest.

Thank you to the organizers for the invitation and a successful meeting.
