In Greek Chania, on July 9-12, was held the EARSeL Symposium. This event took place for the 38th time, and like every year, it was very popular. The motto of the meeting was: "Earth observation supporting research on sustainable development." Presented papers concerned, inter alia: climate, vegetation and data acquisition.

The representative of our team, Life + forbiosensing - Aneta Modzelewska, gave a lecture entitled: "Tree Species Classification in the Białowieża Forest World Heritage Site Using Intra-annual Multi-temporal Hyperspectral Data". The representative presented the hitherto results of our work, at the same time taking all listeners to wander the Bialowieza Forest.

At the symposium, she addressed the important issue of the creation and use of remote sensing to classify tree species and to monitor stands of the Białowieża Primeval Forest. Thanks to the knowledge of the topic and experience, our team could share valuable information and insights with the participants of the event.
