LIFE Information Day in Warsaw 2018

On 25th April, 2018 there was another, 11th edition of LIFE Information Day in Warsaw, held by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFEPWM).

During this year’s LIFE Programme event all the participants had a chance to be provided with the knowledge needed to apply for the LIFE programme.

On a general session representatives of NFEPWM and European Commission talked through all the changes towards previous project enrolment process and explained simplified application procedures for project co-funding. NFEPWM was also presented as an institution which support and give a hand with applying to various funding programmes dedicated to nature project, including LIFE programme. It’s worth pointing out that nearly every single trader registered in Poland can apply for co-funding nature projects. Additionally, all the attendees of the LIFE Information Day were familiarized with experiences of other Beneficiaries of LIFE programme and their particular activities and solutions. During thematic sessions there were also presented different ways of using all the data collected while monitoring environment, some effective ways of communication with different Stakeholders essential for project realization and how to provide sustainability of the project results.

As in previous years, there were also promotion stands of 20 ongoing LIFE programme projects. All the Beneficiaries presented their project’s work which was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and to discuss about one another experience.

Among all mentioned pending projects there was also a stand of ForBioSensing LIFE+ project. During the event day we showed a cross-section from stump – the oldest one from Scots pine stump in the Białowieża Forest – and some increment cores which presented how particular species grew up. We also informed about our current tasks and answered all the questions from the LIFE Information Day participants.
It was also a great opportunity for all to watch our second promotional film about remote sensing methods used in the project and data and knowledge sharing.

All those who visited our stand and talked with us we would like to thank and invite for the next year event: we will surely appear and will be delighted to share all new experience and knowledge!

Presentations which were on general and thematic sessions are available to insight on NFEPWM
