EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF LIFE PROJECTS

The General Directorate for Environmental Protection and the Forest Research Institute has signed an agreement connected with cooperation and networking activities between  LIFE15 GIE/PL/000758 „You have right to effective protection of nature” and LIFE13 ENV/PL/000048 „Comprehensive monitoring of stand dynamics in Białowieża Forest supported with remote sensing techniques”. Both entities will exchange their experience gained during running and settling LIFE projects. The cooperation will also cover using trainings, conferences and project websites for mutual promotion and informing about the projects. The agreement was taken for the time of the projects’ duration.

The project „You have right to effective protection of nature” conducted by the General Directorate for Environmental Protection is aiming in raising awareness and knowledge of institutions involved in legal aspects of nature protection and improvement of their work coordination and facilitating law enforcement in terms of nature protection. Key partners for the projects are law enforcement, judicial authorities and other entities involved in nature protection (a.o. Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection, Inspectorate of Environmental Protection). During the product duration (01.08.2016 – 31.12.2019) for above mentioned entities there were planned educational and informational activities, a.o. open e-learning courses or theoretical and practical trainings on legal aspects of nature protection.
