During this year’s LIFE Programme event all the participants had a chance to be provided with the base knowledge needed to apply for the LIFE programme. On thematic sessions all the attendees were familiarized with detailed information about a.o. managing both projects and information and the possibilities of usage LIFE programme financial sources by local governments.

In Sangate Hotel Airport there were also promotion stands of 20 ongoing LIFE programme projects. All the beneficiaries presented their project’s work which was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and to discuss about one another experience.  

Among all mentioned pending projects there was also a stand of ForBioSenisng Project. During the event day we presented dendrometer – a device which enable measurement of changes in stem circumference and we showed cross-sections from stumps and increment cores from Białowieża Forest. We also informed about our current tasks showing a.o. a map of dead wood distribution on our monitoring area and we answered all the questions from the LIFE Information Day participants. It was also a great opportunity for all to watch our first promotional film about our project activities. We also prepared a sweet surprise on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of LIFE programme – a brioche called „cynamonka” which is a delicacy made in Białowieża. All the participants had a chance to eat this delicious brioche and in the same time listen to some information about the LIFE programme from us.
